As some of you may have heard, we arrived on Tuesday, March 15th surprised to find not just two Guinea pigs in our classroom cage but a THIRD and unexpected newborn pig had arrived.
Apparently, one of our adopted pigs was expecting her bundle of joy when she joined our class and we were not aware of this amazing news.
The class came up with a wide variety of names but we decided on Emerald since she was born the week of St. Patrick’s Day. Her nickname is “Eme” and the kids are having a blast with the newest member of our third grade class. We are all proud parents of a bouncing baby pig.
